Opportunities in Business Development

We are looking to grow our business development and commercial management function.

We are in search of individuals to join our Business Development team, working as part of our senior leadership group. The ideal candidate will have experience selling data, technology, software and consultancy services in the pensions sector.

The primary objective is to drive revenue generation from new logo account wins as well as our existing customer base, promoting our top-tier solutions and services across both private and public sectors.

The role will span the entire sales journey, carrying out activities from initial lead identification to finalising and winning deals, including proposal drafting, contracting and negotiation.

Relationship Building: Demonstrable capability to build working relationships, establishing credibility both internally and externally with clients, prospects, market influencers, and partners.

Dynamic Sales Approach: A forward-thinking positive attitude to innovatively articulate our solutions to drive new sales opportunities.

Sales Leadership & Service Promotion: Contribute to the sales strategy, champion our range of services, secure new contracts, and identify opportunities within our current client base.

Negotiation & Deal Closing: A demonstrable track record of successfully negotiating and concluding deals.

Sector Experience: Proven experience selling software, services, data, and analytics solutions into both the Public and Private Sectors. Familiarity with the UK workplace pensions/financial services space and with established contacts in the sector.

Detail-Oriented Multi-Tasking: Strong attention to detail coupled with the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving customer, market, and business requirements.

Communication & Engagement: Confident and accomplished communication skills across various formats (public speaking, authoring, presentations) that generate significant levels of engagement and interest.

Commercial Acumen: Solid commercial skills, including an understanding of cost models, guiding price setting to win, and shaping deals that appeal to customers and prospects.

Solution Development: Harness industry insight to adapt and innovate our services, ensuring alignment with industry developments and customer needs.

Strategic Marketing: Design and execute multi-channel go-to-market strategies to enhance the value proposition of our services.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage effectively with C-Suite stakeholders, both directly and via third-party partnerships, presenting our solutions compellingly.

Market Exploration: Identify new market opportunities and deepen our presence in existing markets using our extensive service range.

Ethical Business Conduct: Uphold the highest ethical standards in all business activities, ensuring a balance between efficiency and integrity.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the wealth, life, pensions, and regulated markets.
  • Proven prowess in promoting and selling a wide range of services, as well as securing noteworthy contracts.
  • Expertise in cultivating and sustaining robust client relationships.
  • Direct experience in creating and executing go-to-market plans.
  • Track record of setting objectives, establishing actions plans and meeting targets.
  • Comfort and proficiency in liaising at C-Suite level.
