ITM Data Seminar March 2018

Oct 03, 2019

In case you missed our recent seminar aimed at keeping you up-to-date with all the knowledge and guidance that you will need to effectively manage your data requirements in the coming months, here is an outline of the content and the speaker presentation slides.

The theme of this year’s seminar was ‘Old meets New’ highlighting the challenges that the ever evolving world of pensions and data faces – and some new ways of thinking to meet those challenges. 2018 will see the continuation of many of the challenges that have arisen over recent years, with additional complexity and urgency provided by HMRC deadlines, regulatory pressure, and all-too regular negative press coverage. The importance of data as the ultimate enabler to the long term future of pensions has never been recognised more widely.

However, with that high profile also comes a responsibility, for those of us involved, to have a plan to address all the issues we now face. The challenges ahead involve many areas of not just the pensions industry, but also those that interact with it and rely on the integrity and quality of the new-world of pension provision and administration. Transforming old and outdated industry processes is a great challenge, but our seminar introduces some examples that are already providing great value and helping old meet new.

In addition we discussed how, as we see the type and volume of data we are handling expanding and the lines between Pensions and HR data blurring,  ITM have taken the strategic decision to develop our data management services to cater for the wider HR market.
